Renee Baenen
Renee has been training dogs for about six years. She primarily trains in obedience and agility but has tried a little bit of everything with her dogs- herding, bite sports, barn hunt, dock diving, lure coursing, and conformation. Her training philosophy has a very strong base in positive reinforcement- least invasive, minimally aversive.
Kim Cassida
Kim has been training dogs since she could walk. She has been showing since 1989 in many sports including obedience, rally, agility, tracking, herding, and conformation. Kim has a balanced training philosophy where specific methods are tailored to the individual dog.
Marilyn DeRoover
Marilyn has been training since 1995. She and her dogs have competed in obedience, rally and conformation, and they have recently begun competing in agility and nose work. Marilyn uses positive reinforcement in her class.
Deb Huff
Deb has been training dogs since the mid 1980s and is an AKC tracking judge (TDX). She and her dogs have competed in obedience, rally, tracking, agility, and conformation. She believes that training has to be based on your relationship with your dog. Dogs learn best by choosing for themselves and being rewarded for making the right choices. Our time with our dogs is far too short and a working partnership can be among the most satisfying experiences we get in this life.
Beth Lange
Beth has been training for as long as she can remember. She and her dogs have competed in obedience and agility and her current passion is tracking. She has been teaching tracking for over 10 years and is also an AKC tracking judge. She uses purely positive methods, finds what motivates the dog, provides situations to ensure success and progress, and cheers the dog’s efforts.

Louise Peacock
Louise has always believed that learning happens best when it is joyous, and she is pleased that neuroscience research now supports that view – and behaviorists are developing methods based on it. The games she plays (and enjoys sharing) took Drew from a reactive dog to a happy, confident one while deepening the dog-handler relationship and creating a solid basis for all other sports. At present, she and Drew enjoy parkour, agility, and freestyle.

Roxann Wilkinson
Roxann has been training dogs since she was 13. She is a certified trick dog instructor and a certified dog trainer. She fosters and trains dogs with behavior issues for her local animal shelter and is active in Dog Scouts and Love on a Leash. She believes in a positive, relationship first, hands off training style.
Linda Alkema
Linda has been training dogs for about five years. In addition to her own dogs, she works with rescue dogs from various organizations. She and her dachshunds compete in dachshund field trials, earth dog, barn hunt, conformation, tracking, and rally. She uses mostly positive reinforcement based techniques. She believes that dogs want to work with us; we just need to figure out how to communicate our expectations to them. Her cores are focus, relationship, and fun!
Shirley Belcher
Shirley has been training since 1985. She and her dogs have competed in obedience, agility, flyball, and nose work. She is also involved in training obedience and showmanship with 4H. She uses more traditional training methods along with positive reinforcement, praise, and consistency to train most dogs. Training should be fun for dog and handler.
Peg Clark
Peg has been training/competing since the mid 1970s. She and her danes compete in obedience, conformation, and rally but her real love is barn hunt.
Melanie Flesberg
Mel started with her first dog in 1989. She enjoys obedience, tracking, trick training, herding, agility, flyball and therapy work. She trains mostly with positive reinforcement/reward based training. However, every dog is different and the training has to be based on each individual dog and what works for that dog. Also not all dogs learn at the same rate, so one has to be patient and supportive of their efforts (without letting them take over) or you can shut them down .
Cindy Jones
Cindy has been training dogs for over 25 years. She and her dogs compete in conformation, rally, obedience, and nose work. Her training style is mostly positive.
Margo Maidlow
Margo has been training dogs since 1963. She and her dogs have competed in conformation, dock diving, agility, rally, obedience, and nose work. She believes in positive reinforcement for the most part but feels that corrections also play a part in training.
Cady Ness-Smith
Cady has trained dogs, horses, and donkeys for more than 40 years. Her dogs have competed in conformation, rally, obedience, carriage dog, carting, and field sports. Cady believes helping your dog to become a better citizen and a well trained member of your family involves doing more things with your dog. Her training methods are reward based.
Emily Perry
Emily has been reading dog training books since she was 13 but only began putting it into practice a few years ago. Emily likes to volunteer at the local shelter and foster dogs when she has time. She hopes to one day train service dogs for disabled handlers and also work with dogs with behavior issues. In the meantime, she really likes working with the average dog owner. She is a positive trainer trying to improve the relationship between owners and their dogs in a fun way.
Mary Ann Schropp
Mary Ann has loved dogs her entire life and has been training for 3 years. She enjoys training, teaching, and competing...in that order. She trains in Nosework, Obedience, Rally, Tricks, and Agility and does Therapy Dog through Love on a Leash. Mary Ann uses positive training methods and believes the key to training is building a positive relationship between handler and dog by making training fun and rewarding for both.
Betsy Woodard
Betsy has been training and competing with dogs for over 20 years. She has trained and competed in a variety of canine activities, but her passion is really in barn hunt, parkour, agility, and of course, helping people to have better relationships with their dogs. Betsy is a firm believer that there is no one-size-fits-all method of training for dogs, or any creature for that matter - humans included! She strives to make training fun for everyone, usually using games and choices to build life-long skills.
Sharon Atkins
Sharon has been training dogs for about 11 years. Friends encouraged her to start competing and she enjoys competing in rally, agility, dock diving, obedience, tracking, nose work and, most importantly, the love of canine performance. Her philosophy is anything and everything as long as the dog is happy and able.

Dick has been training for over 40 years. He has titled dogs in obedience, tracking, rally, and field trials. Dick's training style is more of the traditional "old school" style but he has always found it to be quite effective when used in a fair, consistent manner.
Terri Korthals
Terri has been training for 49 years. She competes in obedience, conformation, tracking, flyball, herding, hunting, barn hunt, and coursing aptitude. She uses a combination of positive motivation, correction when needed, and self problem solving geared to the particular dog in training. Dogs are intelligent and can figure problems out!
